Counseling
One-on-one support from someone who understands the challenge.
One-on-one care from someone who understands the challenge.
Headington clinicians are experts in treating humanitarian-specific issues, including complex trauma and vicarious trauma. Our psychologists travel extensively throughout the world supporting aid workers, and they know what it’s like to work in the field.
Our goal is to support you, so you can continue to help others as long as you can. Individual or small group counseling gives aid workers and responders the opportunity to apply resilience skills when an incident occurs. Counseling can also support individuals navigating chronic stress and burnout, relational conflict with peers and supervisors, critical incident experiences, sexual assault, vicarious trauma, and a variety of other challenges.
We offer a wide variety of counseling services:
- Critical incident coaching and debriefing
- General consultations and resilience assessments
- Pre-deployment readiness assessments
- Post-deployment debriefings
- Performance coaching
- Referrals for long-term support
