History
The Headington Institute was established in 2001 in order to provide support for humanitarian relief and emergency response personnel worldwide.

In the last 15+ years, our teams have worked with over 100 aid organizations to support those assisting victims of war, political violence, disease, and natural disasters. Today, the Headington Institute is a unique team of licensed psychologists, many with over 30 years of clinical experience, able to address the spiritual and psychological needs related to trauma recovery and resilience. Services are provided through counseling, training, and consulting, and research impacting as many as 40 organizations a year. Our team reaches hundreds of development and humanitarian staff annually through field-based workshops, security training events and individual consultations, with thousands more served through our free, on-line educational and training resources.
