The next step in our commitment to doing more domestically.

Since the number and severity of natural disasters and humanitarian emergencies are increasing, we are doing more to help. In the coming year, we will expand our programs to promote aid worker and emergency responder individual, team, and family resilience and trauma recovery. This will include adding more staff. I’m here to ask for your help in finding the right people to join us.

Our most immediate need is to find a “Program Director” to lead our new “Emergency Responder Program.” For the past three years, we’ve provided training and management consultation to police, fire, and related emergency response agencies throughout Southern California. By building the resilience of these local heroes, we’re helping them build their capacity to thrive in their work and prepare for future disasters.

Now it’s time to bring this support to other cities. We’ve already begun to help in Dallas and Las Vegas, with more initiatives on the way. By recruiting a person to focus full-time on work with domestic responders, we anticipate that this program will spread across the country. Given what’s likely ahead, the timing seems right.

Please share this job description with those who might be interested. Together, we can find the next superstar to join the Headington Institute all-star team.

Thanks for your continued interest and support. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Jim
