Dr. Yvette Campbell is one of our new consulting Psychologists. She joined our team in October and will be providing training, counseling and management consultation services. We are very excited to welcome her to our team!

What is it about our work that caught your interest?

I became interested in the Headington Institute because its vision, purpose and work mirror my own passions and expertise in helping police officers and other first responders confronted with trauma, overwhelming stressors, and other significant challenges.

What are your primary clinical interests and why?

My primary clinical interests are helping first responders faced with trauma.  I have spent over 15 years helping Police Officers and their families cope better with the many stressors of the job.

How do you practice self-care?

I take care of myself through regular consistent exercise such as running and hiking.  I also enjoy spending quality time with both my husband and daughter.  I find spending quiet undistracted time with God to be very therapeutic as well.

Describe your dream vacation.

My dream vacation would be traveling to either Italy, England and/or Australia relaxing, sightseeing and enjoying the food, culture and beauty of the country with my husband, daughter, and close family and friends.  My dream vacation would not be time pressured or stressful in any way at all.  If I were to vacation in Australia an added bonus would be to attend the Australian open with my daughter and husband who also have a great appreciation of the sport.

What do you enjoy the most about practicing as a psychologist?

What I enjoy most about practicing psychology is connecting with my clients and helping them to live more productive and satisfying lives.

What are your hobbies?

Some of my hobbies are as follows: Running, hiking, reading, baking and spending quality time with my daughter.
